So no, I think they're all appropriately rated. This by far has the widest appeal to people, which is why it's the most popular. ![]() It evokes a sense of nostalgia for where you've come from, while also bringing something new and more intense to the table with the heavier use of electric guitar. It features leitmotifs from the previous levels and you have to fight your way through all the previous battles. Phase 3 is the epic climax to this journey. It is busy and weird, and that appeals to a reasonably large group of people, myself included. But then BAM we get goofy and bizarre all of a sudden and the boss and song is now something completely unexpected. Phase 1 prepares you for a good, yet perhaps predictable boss fight and boss theme. It is truly where the song gets its namesake, it is THE Unexpectancy. I've grown to appreciate it a lot more, but for a larger audience it doesn't stick out as much. It isn't as flashy as the other two, but in many ways that makes it all the more interesting, it does so much with a lot less. you want you dont wanna you want you dont wanna. Phase 1 is outshined by the other two because it is subtler. It really just boils down to personal preference. Their popularity increases as the song progresses, phase 1 being the least popular and phase 3 being the most. I think they're all very appropriately rated. ![]()
